AURA

In the performance AURA, Polish choreographer Paweł Sakowicz works with the body as a field of continuous movement, flow and turbulence - a shifting, permeable presence, constantly recalibrating in relation to other human and more-than-human bodies, gravity, heat and metal alloys.

Here, “aura” is understood as a perceptible effect of movement - a subtle disturbance of air produced by bodies in motion, an energy field that emerges between rather than belonging to any body, defined by continuous shifts of proximity, excess visibility, tension and exchange.

Through those dancing bodies and the kinetic sculptures-machines by Iza Tarasewicz, wave, vortex, and disruption appear as temporary states of bodily organization, where center and periphery continuously exchange positions, and stability exists only as a brief slowing of movement. Chaos is not destruction, but a generative condition: a slowed-down turbulence from which new configurations may emerge.
